The Endiama E.P. (Empresa de Diamantes de Angola)

The National Diamonds Company of Angola, Endiama E.P is a company of public funds constituted in 1981. It acts with a dual nature: state and entrepreneurial. The company is situated at the Edificio Endiama in Luanda.
In the first aspect, the company was created under the decree # 6/81, by the Commission of the Council of Defence and Security with a fund of 667.897.000,00 Kwanzas at the time, to function as the national concessionary of the mining rights in the diamonds domain.
As a company, the social object of Endiama E.P is prospecting, research, recognition, mining, transforming and diamond trading.
Throughout the last decade, Endiama E.P uses an organizational model with the characteristics of a Holding, possessing already many branches and participating with social capital, in other companies.
ENDIAMA E.P also extends its activity to business sectors that go beyond diamondiferous mining.
Its head-offices was built in the Angolan capital, Luanda, at Major Kanhangulo street.
The Head Offices of Endiama
The headquarters of Endiama E.P is made up of six floors. The research, conception, co-ordination and management of its project were under the responsibility former Research and Projects Department of Endiama E.P. This organ was equally in charge of supervising the execution of works.
The construction of the building where hundreds of professionals work today, was under the aegis of the Portuguese construction firm, Soares da Costa.
When it was decided to construct the building, Endiama E.P had an Administration Council made up of the following members:
1st Eng.º Noé Baltazar – Chairman and Director General,
2nd Dr. Álvaro Arnaldo Craveiro- Administrator for Administration and Finances,
3rd Eng.º Domingos Campos – Residing Administrator.
In order for it to be more stable and safe, since it was built above a water table below half a metre deep, it was decided to erect the Endiama E.P head offices using a conventional structure with peculiarly characteristics.
The Endiama E.P headquarters was inaugurated on 8 June 1995, by former Prime Minister, Marcolino Jose Carlos Moco, whose unveiled decoration slab.

LUÓ – Camatchia-Camagico Mining Society, S.A.R.L., was officially founded on March 2003 resulting from a "joint venture" between the National Diamond Company of Angola, E.P. (Endiama, E.P.), Hipergesta Company – Management of Enterprises & Trade, Angodiam – Society of Exploring and Trading of Diamonds, S.A.R.L. and Escom-Alrosa, Limited, which appears due to an association between a company of the Espírito Santo empire (Escom Mining, Inc.) and Alrosa, Russian public mining copany. - Alfa 5 - The diamondiferous industry has a main partner as a guarantee of security of regions where industrial diamondiferous mining are carried out.
- Yetwene - Yetwene project, located at the Camissombo diamond mining region, Lunda Norte province, was re-inaugurated on 17 Jule 2004, this way resuming its activity after a long period of interruption due to war.
The association in participation groups the Lucapa Mining Society, one of the associates of Endiama-EP that holds 50% of this project's capital and has the following partners: Mining B.V. of the Israeli Lev Leviev group, the investor of the project.
