Austria officially the Republic of Austria (Republik Österreich) is a landlocked country in Central Europe. Austria is one of the 10 richest countries in the world . Human Development Index 2007/2008 rankings for Austria is 0.948, (15th, high) in High Human Development countries. Currency – Euro (€) (EUR). Gini coefficient – 29.1% (low). Fiscal year – Calendar year. Trade organisations – EU, WTO and OECD.
Main industries – oil, iron, steel, chemicals, tourism, agricultural sector, electricity.
